William D. Dunn - Business Litigation Lawyer

In 2010, Dave Dunn chose to leave a successful 13-year career as a partner at one of Dallas' largest and most respected law firms to become a founding partner of Dunn Sheehan LLP. Dave now applies a "light and fast" philosophy to his practice, utilizing the agility and flexibility of a small firm to provide the same high quality service to his clients, but more efficiently and at a lower cost.

Dave has extensive first-chair experience as a trial lawyer in federal court, state court, and arbitrations. He represents companies and individuals in the prosecution and defense of a broad range of litigation involving contracts; real estate and construction; partnership, shareholder and fiduciary relations; fraud and business torts; labor and employment; personal injury and premises liability; intellectual property (trade secrets, technology licensing, trademark, and copyright); creditors' rights and bankruptcy-related litigation; and energy law.

In addition to litigation, Dave handles a variety of general business and transactional matters, helping his clients to structure and operate their affairs to minimize risk and unwanted disruptions, and to position themselves to proactively respond to future challenges. In that capacity, Dave acts as outside general counsel to several regional businesses, providing practical advice on day to day legal issues such as corporate formation and structuring; acquisitions and divestitures; contract and lease negotiation; intellectual property protection and licensing; employment relations; regulatory and compliance issues; and business dissolutions.
